Being a famous Indian film producer and director, Nasir Hussain was one of the famous Bollywood film makers who had made several successful films. Nasir Hussain has died on 13th March in 2002 in Mumbai at his age of 76. with his wonderful film making techniques, Nasir Hussain made a series of hit musicals. Besides film making, he had also gained huge popularity as a scrip and screenplay writer for various famous films. Basically, Nasir Hussain was a famous director for making such wonderful romantic, entertaining and musical films.
Nasir Hussain was born in Bhopal in Madhya Pradesh. Basically, he had no such experience in film making. Having initially worked with the great A. R. Kardar, Nasir Hussain came to Filmistan studio. After that, he started his career as a writer in films. From the year 1948, he was in this profession and in this period he wrote for some famous films like Anarkali in 1953, Munimjee in 1955, and Paying Guest in 1957. After a long struggling period, finally in the year 1957, Nasir Hussain got his first break as a director. The Filmistan studio gave him a film named Tumsa Nahin Dekha to direct in his own way.
Later this film was considered as one of the most popular films of that year.
In his career, Nasir Hussain made films with several famous stars of that time such as Shammi Kapoor, Dev Anand, Asha Parekh, and many more. Throughout his career he directed and produced so many films. Some of the films directed by Nasir Hussain are Tumsa Nehin Dekha, Dil Deke Dekho, Caravan, Teesri Manzil, Hum Kissi se Kam Nahin, Jab Pyar Kisi se Hota Hai, Manzil Manzil, Baharon ke Sapne, Junglee, Bluff Master, Jaanwar and many others.
Apart from his directorial skills, in several films he had shown his acting skills. As an actor Nasir Hussain acted in several films like Love and God in 1986, Shiv Charan in 1984, Daulat Ke Dushman in 1983, Fifty Fifty in 1981, Dhoop Chhaon in 1977, Aafat in 1977, Amar Akbar Anthony in 1977, Ram Bharose in 1977, Prem Nagar in 1974, Dulhan in 1974, Jwar Bhata in 1973, Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke in 1969, Hare Kanch Ki Churiyan in 1967, Preet Na Jane Reet in 1966, Saheb Biwi Aur Gulam in 1962, Jeevan Jyoti in 1953, Do Bigha Zameen in 1953, Parineeta in 1953 and in many other films.
