Mohit Suri is among the young film makers in Bollywood. He was born in the year 1981 in the country of India. He has worked as an assistant director as well as the film director for several Hindi films. He is also related to the well known Bhatt family. Mahesh Bhatt, a prominent director is his uncle. Emraan Hashmi who has acted in 3 of his films is his cousin.
He had assisted several films under the Bhatt banner before venturing for a project. He made his debut with the movie Zeher. This movie released in 2005. After this movie he made Kalyug which was quite successful. After that he directed several other Hindi films.
Kalyug was released in the year 2005. Suri is the writer and the Bollywood director of this film. This film deals with the pornographic film racket. Zeher was directed by Mohit Suri in the year 2005. This film stars Emraan Hashmi, Shamita Shetty and Udita Goswami. This film deals with a man having an extra marital affair with his own sister in-law. This film was not successful but Suri received acclaim for dealing with such a bold subject.
Awarapan which released in 2007 was directed by Mohit Suri. It starred Emraan Hashmi, Shreya Saran as well as Mrinalini Sharma. Woh Lamhe was another directorial venture of Suri in the year 2006. It starred Kangana Ranaut and Shiney Ahuja. This Indian film had several hit songs and it made a moderate success in the box office.
He has also worked as an assistant director for several Hindi films. These films include Footpath which released in the year 2003. He worked as an assistant director for the film named Footpath. He was the assistant director for the film named Awara Paagal Deewana which released in the year 2002. Kasoor, is yet another Hindi film starring Lisa Ray and Aftab Shivdasani which released in 2001. Mohit Suri worked as an assistant director in this film as well.
