Of all the film makers in Bollywood, Aziz Mirza has made an important niche for himself. Aziz Mirza was born in the year 1947. He is today one of the most eminent Indian film directors and writers. He is famous for his various blockbusters in Hindi cinema. Aziz Mirza, the renowned director, mainly believes in quality not in quantity. Thus, he has made only 5 movies in entire 11 years of his career and all of them are of course big hits of Bollywood.

Aziz Mirza began his career in the year 1985. He teamed up with his brother Saeed Mirza and an acclaimed director Kundan Shah to build a new production company named Iskra. Aziz Mirza introduced himself as a director with a television serial named Circus in the year 1989. This serial starred Ashutosh Gowariker and Shahrukh Khan. Both of them were newcomers at the time. They both got huge fame from this serial. From then onwards, Aziz has got together with Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla in every project of his.



After the success of Circus in Indian Television, Aziz Mirza got into the cinematic world with Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman in the year1992. This film also starred Shahrukh Khan, the king of Bollywood and Juhi Chawla, the most beautiful actress of Bollywood. This film was highly motivated by the classic comedy by Raj Kapoor's Shree 420, which was filmed in the year 1955. "Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman" did well in the box office. After the success of "Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman", he started his next project "Yes Boss" in the year1997, which also did very good business at the box office of Indian Cinema. This film was well received in general.

Aziz Mirza created a joined production company named "Dreamz Unlimited" together with Shahrukh Khan and Juhi Chawla. The first movie by Dreamz Unlimited was "Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani", which was released in the year 2000. This film was directed by Mirza himself. However, the film could not do well in the box office. After the superb flop movie "Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani", Aziz Mirza directed the third filmChalte Chalte out of Dreamz Unlimited. "Chalte Chalte" starred Shahrukh Khan and Rani Mukerjee. This movie did very good business in box office. This film is believed to be the first hit from the production house. After the success of Chalte Chalte, Aziz Mirza took a break from film direction because of the death of his wife.

In the year 2007, Aziz Mirza came back to direction. He has declared that his next film named "Kismet Connection" is ready for release in the year 2008, which will star Shahid Kapoor, the most promising hero of Bollywood and renowned actress Vidya Balan in leading roles.
