Several Film Associations in Bollywood are set up for the welfare of the Bollywood film industry. This is done by the contribution of the people including actors, directors, producers and many others linked with this industry. The Bollywood film associations are created on a national level. Thus the activities and events organized by these associations are also on a national level.

Central Board of Film Certification is one of the significant film associations of Bollywood. It showcases the movies which are publicly screened in India. The Headquarters of this organization is in Mumbai. Excluding Mumbai, the other centers of this association are located at Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Guwahati, Cuttack, Thiruvananthapuram and Hyderabad.



The National Film Development Corporation of India is another film association. It is the main agency set up to inspire the creation of good movies in the nation. The prime aim of this center is to design, upgrade and co-ordinate the growth and progress of the Indian film industry. The NFDC has produced more than three-hundred movies till date.

Among the Bollywood movie associations another distinct name is the National Center of Films for Children and Young People. Earlier this organization bore the name of Children Film Society. This organization was set up with the aim of promoting movies for the kids.

The Cine Artistes Welfare Fund of India is established by NFDC. It offers aid for the benefit of those actors of the bygone years, who are in dire need.

The other film associations in Bollywood are the National Film Archive of India, Film and Television Institute of India and the Film and Television Producers Guild of India.

The National Film Archive of India was formed in February 1964. It was set up as a part of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. The main aim of this association is to develop and maintain the rich culture, heritage and fame of Indian cinema. It also aims at conserving the best of international films.

The Film and Television Producers Guild of India boasts of some of the most acclaimed people of the film industry as its members. It has the objective of rendering quality and excellence in the making of Indian movies and also delivering the best of television programs.

Film and Television Institute of India is a member of the International Liaison Center of Schools of Cinema and Television. It is one of the top schools of film and television in the world.
