All about her life:
Born to doctor parents on July 18, 1982, Priyanka Chopra hails from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. Her parents are Ashok Chopra and Madhu Akhauri. She grew up with parts of her childhood being spent in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh, Newton, Massachusetts and Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She has a sibling, a brother who is eight younger to her. Since her father was in the army, she had to move frequently all over India. She was educated in at La Martinière Girls College in Lucknow as a resident student. She prepared for her further studies in the USA after staying in Bareilly for a short time. She completed her tenth grade while in Boston, Massachusetts, USA and decided to pursue the career of a software engineer and or a criminal psychologist. Priyanka Chopra is affectionately called Mimi, which is her pet name. She returned to India in 2000 and enrolled in Jai Hind College and Basant Singh Institute of Science in Churchgate, Bombay. However she had to leave almost abruptly since she became miss India. After completing her successful responsibilities as a Beauty queen, she decide to take the plunge in the glamorous world of the tinsel town. She debuted with a Tamil movie `Thamizhan`.

All about her career:
Though Priyanka Chopra made her debut in Tamil film, her career in Bollywood began with a film named `The Hero` in 2002. Thereafter she worked in several movies. Her roles and characters displayed diversity and her performance won commercial and critical acclaims.

She has won 11 awards to date for her performance in `Andaaz`, `Aitraaz`, `The Hero`, `Mujhse Shaadi Karogi`, & `Krrish`. Besides films, other achievements of Priyanka Chopra includes; she is the only Indian in the USA who was selected at the state level for the National Opus Honor Choir. She even did some major social work and participated in adult education awareness programs. She even raise funds for the destitute on several occasions. At present she is totally commited to her work in in the films and desires to scale new heights by giving excellent performances as her career shapes up in the years to come. Her current assignments comprises of `Sahib Biwi Aur Ghulam`, `Kajri`, `Drona`, `London Dreams`, `Qurbani`, `Chamki Chameli`, `Love Story 2050` only to name a few.
