Personal life of Amrita Arora:
Amrita Arora was born on 31st January, in the year 1978 in Bombay, now known as Mumbai. Her mother is a Malayali and her father is from Punjab. Her sister, Malaika Arora is a well known name in Hindi movies, who has appeared in a number of damce and song numbers in Bollywood. Amrita`s brother in law is Arbaaz Khan, who is also a popular actor in Bollywood.



Career of Amrita Arora:
Amrita Arora stated her career in the showbiz industry as a video jockey in MTV. The regular shows in MTV earned her recognition as a popular video jockey and she was also widely appreciated for her spontaneity, which came through, while she conducted this show. Previously known as little sister of Malaika, she was soon able to make a name for herself in Bollywood. Along with pursuing her career as a video jockey, she also earned fame as a popular model in India. She also featured in some of the most popular advertisements. She made her debut in Hindi movies with Fardeen Khan in the movie `Kitne Door Kitne Paas`. Though it failed to be a hit, her work was appreciated. She first achieved success with the movie `Awara Paagal Deewana`. She also acted in the controversial movie, `Girlfriend` in the year 2004, opposite Isha Kopikaar. This film that dealt with lesbian relationship failed to impress the audience, but her acting skills was recognized.

Though her start, as an actress is quite slow, as of now, she is flooded with offers from Bollywood.
