At first Saila, takes time to adjust herself in a big city like Bombay. She is overwhelmed by the hustle and bustle of the city. But Sekhar makes her feel happy and supports her throughout. Saila gives birth to twins. They are named Kabir Narayanan and Kamal Basheer with a blend of Hindu and Muslim names. The family lives happily. After six years, they try to repair relations with their families.

Sekhar and Saila are immensely worried about their children who do not belong to a fixed religion. The children were lost during the riot and eventually they are rescued. The family bonding again becomes strong and they re unite.
