SWAPNA
Think of a Monday morning. "Gosh! yet another beginning of a work week"
is what comes to our mind.Ring Ringggg RRRRinggg You hate that sound of
your alarm clock. Most probably you will put the snooze button and cover
yourself with the blanket. But you are not alone. Most of the people
suffer from the so called Monday morning blues. It is a thing you have
in common with the rest of the working drones. You feel it every Monday
you start into a new week for the rest of your working days. Some feel
it already Sunday evening when the weekend comes to an end. Manic Monday
morning blues affects most working people since ages. Even worse if you
are living in a cold country and you have to wake up very early to leave
the house when everything is still dark, grey and freezing. Enough to
make you feel those goosebumps in your skin. How much do you wish that
it was a holiday and you could relax at home?. Monday mornings are a bit
of drag for many of us. We always feel that we could have spend more
time with our family and friends and partied harder. It is always
difficult to adjust to our normal routine after an out of order weekend.
There are many ways and means by which we can recover from this.
Maintain a regular sleep pattern. During weekends we tend to go to bed
late and wake up late since we are not required to work by 8:00am on
Saturday and Sunday. With sleep out of rhythm we may find it difficult
to wake up at our regular time on Mondays. So it is better to maintain
our sleep pattern even during our weekends. Hop out of your bed the
moment you wake up. Too much of lingering in your bed can make you feel
more tired and sleepy. Have a hot cup of coffee to make you feel
energized. End your shower with a jolt of cold water to tear yourself
out of your grogginess. Do a little bit of exercise to get your blood
pumping and to release those feel good endorphins. More importantly
anticipate your Monday morning on Friday evening itself and make
yourself feel that you are ready for the challenges the Monday morning
will bring to you. If possible try to organize the rest of the work week
during weekends. We all suffer from these Monday morning blues but
successful people are those who come out of this and perform to their
best. In order to do that we should first of all enjoy what we are doing
so that whatever challenges it brings upon us we can overcome that
easily.
