Quizzes

I have heard of the famous landmark and odyssey quizzes at chennai.So I wanted to participate to see what exactly was happening there.In other words- to just get the feeling of quizzing. I called my sister and my close friend to accompany me as my team-mates as each team required 3 people. The event took place at music academy and the entrance was quite crowded.We were on the waiting list,however, got the confirmation seats. The hall inside was no exception and there was a huge turnout.The preliminary round consisted of 35 questions which were really tough(and we scored only 4/35:().The answers had to be written on the paper(thus saving the embarrassment) and the correction was done within minutes. When the finalists were announced,I was shocked and surprised to see that only men made it to the finals and not even a single women in any of the 8 teams?? So,What is wrong here? Are the women not avid quizzers or are do they just not make it?
