From time to timeless Woman, I hold, is the personification of self-sacrifice, but unfortunately today she does not realize what tremendous advantage she has over man. Mahatma Gandhi -True, women do not realize their own capacity to conquer anything under the sky. Most women under estimate their own powers to excel, some of them place themselves behind a wall creating limitations for themselves, in the name of the culture and society. Today woman is also the bread winner like her male counter part. Yet the challenges she faces are much more as she has to deal with her home, family and work. Its not that self sacrifice is wrong, it has to be whole hearted and must be out of love and compassion rather than out of sheer compulsion. To achieve this she has to love her own self first. Today many women live with self hatred and depression thinking theres no one to care for them and that they are fit for nothing. Unable to cope with or balance her multi tasking she becomes frustrated and depressed. House wifes or home makers are the most affected as she has to cope up with the long lonely hours at home till her hubby and children return. Instead of just watching TV and engaging in small talk or just sleeping we can make use of our free time in a number of ways which will benefit both us and the society we live in. Here are some of the options in which one can spend their free time.
Our physical and mental health depends on having close relationships with people we can turn to, especially in times of crisis or stress, says an expert on womens health . That special person who can never be blindly judgmental and to whom you can always turn to, is truly a great friend who can always take you to that comfort zone, where you can just de-stress and relax.
Write a journal. Your journal can be a vehicle to open up your thoughts, feelings and dreams. All you need to do is start writing. Start by writing how you feel about yourself, what you love and what you hate, what is making you happy and what is not, what you like to do and what not etc. you will be surprised as to how little you knew about your self. As you progress youll see how you have your own individuality in seeing things differently and uniquely your way.
You can also identify those corners of your personality which were pulling you down-mentally and emotionally, and try to rectify it. Who knows you might even end up reliving your childhood dreams. Find a comfortable position in your chair. Clear your mind. Relax. And let your thoughts and emotions flow freely. It is important that you do not censor yourself as you write. Do not worry about grammar or punctuation errors. Put every thought onto the page. Be risky. Be daring. Be yourself.Start learning. Theres no limit to learning something new be it art and craft or computers or even a degree through correspondence. It will also always make you feel young at heart. If academics dont interest you, take up Yoga, meditation, aerobics, bhajan, music, instrumental and the list is never ending and limitless.>You can also start reading books. Starting a book club might turn out
