While the bell chimes, I can see an entire family gorging on a packet of food. On the other side there are a set of kids wailing and their parents unruffled about it. Another set of people seem to have hit their comfort zone, with their legs stretched out and gossiping their way to glory. Where there is suppossed to be a queue, there is always pandemonium. Food wrappers, flowers etc strewn right below a sign which says Cleanliness equals Godliness. This is a typical scene at a temple. When The Holy sanctum is meant only for the attainment of inner peace. However, it is otherwise these days. Another factor which disturbs me to a great extent is the exorbitant ticket prices for darshan, on special days. Inflation is probably having its take on The Almighty as well. I have come out with a string of complaints on the typical scenario of a temple. Its only now that I realise, that even I have not been giving my undivided attention to Him. Hmmm. I am indeed no better than the others. God save all of us.
