Views of Christianity on birth control
According to the Roman Catholic Church, the use of artificial birth control measures is not allowed. Contraceptives were officially banned by Roman Catholics till 1930. But after that, artificial contraceptives were accepted as a matter allowed by religion and Bible.
The Roman Catholic believers, even today, oppose birth control acts by contraceptives and organism acts. The only mode of birth control allowed in catholic religion is abstinence. In the book of Humanae Vitae, the Pope Paul VI stated the views on use of contraceptives according to Christian religion.
Views on birth control according to Islam
Though in the religious books of Islam, we donot find anything against the usage of artificial contraceptives, yet there are encouraging mention of procreation. Hence we can say that Islam religion has also not supported use of artificial s means of birth control fully. But with change of time, Islam religion has supported and encourages the use of artificial means of birth control.
Views of on birth control by Judaism
Regarding birth control measures, there are three broad divisions in Judaism religion. Divided into Orthodox, Conservative and Reform groups, the views of these groups vary accordingly. The first two groups, that is, orthodox and conservative division supports the use of contraceptives only under certain circumstances such as for those who already have two children. The reform group of Judaism is the most liberal and broad minded group who allow use of contraceptives in accordance to the personal judgment of individual.
Views on birth control by Sikhism
The religion of Sikh does not say anything in favor or anti usage of contraceptives. The followers of Sikhism can use artificial means of birth control if the person wants to.
Views on birth control in Hinduism
There is no restriction on birth control measures in the Hindu religion. Moreover there are some scriptures that offer information on birth controls ways. The decision of using contraceptive is solely dependent on the wish of the couple.
