Moisturising matters, and how! Your skin needs it as much as you need air and water. Slick on a body moisturiser and create a wonderfully silky body. Treat your body everyday and you will soon reap the benefits.Don't buy a moisturiser as you would buy potatoes and onions. Just as you choose a moisturiser for your face with care, you should opt for the best formulation suited to the skin type of your body. A body gel is ideally suited for hot, scorching days and oily skins. They are easy to apply and are nourishing to the skin. You can never go wrong with body lotions and oils. Just make sure that the oil you choose is not sticky. For those with dry skins, body creams are a good option. They are rich and nourishing. You not only need to choose your moisturiser with care, you also need to know how to make the most of it. Here are a few handy hints -
Body moisturiser should be applied onto clean, damp skin - preferably after a bath. The pores in the skin are open and this helps to seal the moisture in.Use firm strokes to rub the moisturiser in. Just a pat or a dab will not do. A firm massage would help boost the blood circulation in your skin and make it breathe more easily.Pay more attention to areas that are more dry, such as heels, knees and elbows. Don't neglect the calves of your legs too. They are especially prone to dryness.Cracked feet need special attention. They need a night routine. Soften cracked feet every night by rubbing them with rich body lotion, pulling on a pair of cotton socks and heading for bed. This regimen will work wonders.A scented body lotion is a good option. Applied as a lotion, the scent can also give your skin the confidence of not looking good but also smelling wonderful. There is a wide range available in the market. All you need to do is choose. A word of warning here, though. Make sure that the perfume you wear doesn't clash with the scent of your body lotion. Keep it light. Not overpowering.
