We all like to capture little moments of life in pictures. Whether it is the birth of some near one, marriage, honeymoon, occasions, parties or anything else, pictures serve an important part of any and every event. Beautiful pictures mean a lot of all of us. In fact, we delete a picture in which we are not looking at our best as soon as it is clicked. Because what you want to capture are your beautiful moments with your near and dear ones, you want every picture of yours to reflect your inner beauty along with external charm and personality.

In order to ensure that every picture clicked is a beautiful picture, here are some tips and guidelines that you can follow to achieve this. By understanding these guidelines properly and following them during photography, you’ll achieve your motive of sharing the best moments of your life with others in the most beautiful and picturesque way.

Choose a well-designed background: just like your mood plays a very important role in pictures and photography, the design and the look and feel of the background also is very important. Choose a background that is scenic if you are outside of your home and, when at home, choose a background that is not much cluttered. A cluttered background takes the focus of the viewer away from you in the picture and distracts him or her at other things in the background.

Pay attention to your clothes
: What you wear at the time of capturing yourself in a picture is utmost important. Your attire or clothes should reflect your personality and go in sync with your characteristics. Never get yourself clicked in anything you wear. Not when you want to share the photographs with a larger group of relatives and friends or on social-networking websites such as Twitter, Facebook, etc.

Get your face completely in focus while clicking for portraits: Portraits are special pictures that are meant to reveal your true beauty. Thus, when clicking such pictures, there is no need for background. Try and focus your face as much as possible so that the maximum area (approx. 85%) in the picture is covered by your face. If you are old and have a wrinkled skin, still don’t worry. You might be amazed to see the real you in a close-up picture that may be just perfect to shape into your portrait and hung on some of the best walls in your home.

Stand under perfect light
: no one wants the pictures or photographs to be dull or less visible. For your photograph to be visible completely, it is essential that you stand in an area which is well lit and is full of light. Also, make appropriate settings in the camera, so that the lens and focus can be adjusted according to the available lighting and your pictures come out clear.

In addition to all these guidelines, one thing that you must never forget is to carry your camera with you every time you step out of the house. Sometimes you get into a condition or place where you would love to get yourself clicked but figure out that you don’t have a camera. Think of a situation where you go for your friend’s get together thinking you’ll meet old friends and there’ll be no time for photographs. But once you land at that place, you strictly feel the need of having a camera to click all those special moments!
