Check out the latest consumer trends in the market. Especially in the cosmetic department. There are anti-ageing lotions galore. Add to it, the different hues, shades and colours of hair dyes, the anti-wrinkle creams, the face-lifts, the tucks and the trims and what have you! An entire society desperately trying to preserve its youthful beauty and looks.

What we, as thinking, feeling human beings fail to realise is that the elixir of youth is to be found inside of us, in the recesses of our minds and in the essence of our hearts. It is all in the mind!

For example, someone who is 40 can look 26 while someone in their 30s, can look aged. The feeling of being beautiful does not exist only in the body beautiful, it exists in the beliefs of our thoughts, our feelings of self-confidence, and the inner peace of harmony between body and soul.

When we really scrutinise this closely, we will discover, that if we think nothing of our age, if we give it less attention, the less likely we are to 'act our age'.

Looking and feeling young rests mainly on thinking and feeling young.

Although, it's nice to be conscious of how you look and present yourself, you don't have to get into a tizzy about every single grey hair that you discover and every tell-tale wrinkle that you spy on your face. Learn to accept age gracefully. The worry wrinkles will disappear naturally, the frowns will smooth out and above all, the attitude of equating beauty with youth will become a myth.

You need to love yourself from the inside out. Beauty always works its way from within.
