Ladies! Think about this and tell me if you agree.

  • Beauty is not just in the eyes of the beholder, it is in the mind of the person concerned. If you think you are beautiful, you are. And none can dispute it.
  • Beauty is not a pencil-thin figure. If you are plump, so be it. Try and reduce excess weight in order to stay healthy. Not because you are ashamed of your appearance. And until such time that you become comfortably thin, choose clothes with care. Vertical stripes, small prints, dark hues and anything that makes you 'feel' thin.
  • Pan cake faces do not launch a thousand ships. In fact, make-up is a personal option. Use what you are comfortable with. If 'subtle' is 'you', why don war paint to please the masses?
  • Features are God given. But smiling lips and twinkling kind eyes are a choice. Your choice.

  • Complexion ought to be cared for. There are no two ways about that. But accepting your complexion and colour and then pampering it makes sense. Rather than wishing you were 'as fair as' or as ' tanned as'....
  • The girls with wavy hair wish they could perm it. The ones with the curls have it straightened. Why? Surely it is quite possible to make yourself look good with what was given by nature?
  • Manicures and pedicures may seem unaffordable to some. Why associate the process with a beauty parlour? It can be done very effectively at home too.
  • Brand names and boutiques do not make you sought after.
It's the woman you are. The 'substance' you are made up of. The confidence you exude.

And all this come from first accepting yourself as you are. Loving yourself for it. Adding to what nature gave you in comfortable and simple little ways.

You were born beautiful. Discover yourself.
