We are all glued to the TV over the weekend to watch reality based beauty makeover shows. We find it extremely fascinating to watch how some average women who have certain flaws and blemishes get transformed to look younger and more appealing than ever before. Such reality shows are prevalent in western countries and give women an opportunity to change the way they look. Though these shows are not shot in India, many Indian women are inspired by them and try to trade their casual look with a more captivating and youthful appearance.
Many women are now venturing out to change their looks by different means ranging from DIY makeups to salon makeovers to even going under the knife. DIY makeovers are usually trying out different kinds of outfits, experimenting with new colors, adding shimmer or matte to the makeup, trend oneself up with latest accessories and more. For DIYs, one must regularly check out the fashion magazines and blogs to find out what`s turning heads in the glamor world.
Salon makeovers are a bit more professional and help women identify the kind of makeup styles, colors, haircuts, cosmetics etc. suit them the best. Whether trying to achieve a funky, classy or grudge look, it`s best that a woman gets assistance from a professional who has experience. When in salon, women can inquire about what would look best on them – curly, wavy or straight hair, full or partial hair color with which streaks and more. They also need an expert to do waxing, threading, plucking and many other procedures.
Undergoing cosmetic procedures to accentuate one`s appearance is also a part of makeover and includes both surgical and non-invasive procedures. Surgical cosmetic procedures include nose jobs, breast implants, eyelid surgery, tummy tuck and liposuction. On the other hand, botox, laser hair removal, chemical peel, microdermabrasion and hyaluronic acid come under the non-invasive category. A makeover, be it of any kind, helps women look the best they can and gives them confidence.
However, in the recent years, the idea of `good looks` has been misrepresented which has made it hard for young women to see themselves as beautiful. In an attempt to achieve a model-like look, they cease to believe that a healthy body is more important than a lean one. Moreover, most women don`t understand the fact that a healthy body comes in different shapes and sizes and they should not go by the constricted elucidation of beautiful.
Because of this delusion, most women are obsessed with looking perfect which often leads to malnutrition and diseases like bulimia, anemia and others. Though harmful for body, many women still go that extra mile to achieve that perfect look. Makeovers remain popular amongst the masses and if one considers the extreme ones, she should get help from a specialist to make her experience satisfying and safe. Amongst the three, whichever makeover one opts for, she should always keep it real because if it`s fake, neither she nor people around her will like it.
