Every woman has a cabinet stocked with different kinds of skin care products that claim to make skin beautiful and younger looking. Most of these products really help in making skin look more appealing, but harsh chemicals included in these products cause problems in the longer run. Thereby, one should rely on eco-friendly means of getting a healthier and naturally glowing skin without an aftermath. Here are simple steps to get a splendid looking skin:
Each routine for enhancing one`s beauty starts with cleansing the skin. It is the essential part for keeping the skin healthy and glowing, therefore, one must make it a point to regularly cleanse her skin. To make a cleanser at home, one can use half a cup of cornmeal and mix it with yogurt to create a paste. She should then apply it evenly on the face (avoid eyes and lips) and wash off with lukewarm water.
Exfoliation is required to make a dull skin look alive. One should use fresh fruits to get rid of the dead skin cells on the surface layer of skin and unfold a fresh and glistening skin beneath. To make exfoliating scrubs, one doesn`t have to make many efforts. She just needs to reach out to her kitchen shelves and use a couple of things.
An ideal scrub for exfoliating is gram flour (besan) and moong dal scrub. To make it, one has to mix one tablespoon gram flour, one tablespoon crushed moong dal, few drops of patchouli essential oil. For binding the mix, one should use rose water for oily skin or milk for dry skin. Gently scrub onto the face in a circular motion for 5-7 minutes and then wash off with water.
And if someone has a mix of both kinds of skin, almond and milk scrub is best suited for her. To make this scrub, one should mix one tablespoon of crushed almond with half a tablespoon each of honey, milk and tomato juice. Just add in a few drops of patchouli essential oil and scrub it in a circular motion on the body for 5-7 minutes and wash it off. It will remove dead cells, leaving skin fresh and younger looking.
Steaming is one of the best ways to unlock skin pores, detoxify the skin and keep it relaxed. To steam one`s face, one should put several fresh basil leaves and cilantro (Hara Dhania) in a bowl of hot water. Then, hold her face about a foot above the bowl and tent her head as well as the bowl with a towel. Doing this helps the steam remain inside the tent for better effects. Keep the head inside the tent for 10-15 minutes, then pat dry the face and splash it with lukewarm water. As for steaming the entire body, one can run a hot shower for a while to fill the bathroom with steam and then be at ease for about 10 minutes. This will not only keep the skin refreshing, but also remove toxins.
Most women with oily skin believe that it`s for people with dry skin and skip the moisturizing part. However, they don`t realize that moisturizer is more important than anything else, irrespective of the type of skin. Since there is a wide variety of moisturizers available in the market, it`s not very difficult to find a moisturizer that suits a particular skin type. Skipping this part may cause wrinkles, folds and other signs of aging to turn up way earlier. Aloe Vera, as we all know, is great for skin and it also helps eliminate many kinds of skin problems like redness, dermatitis and irritation.
Taking a natural approach to make skin healthier is not a troublesome task to do. One only has to make use of natural products and minimize the amount of chemicals in her beauty routines.
